Paul Mazzarulli is a financial markets professional with nearly 25 years of experience in commodities, energy, and shipping, including derivative as well as physical sectors. His current focus is project development and risk management in the international commodities industry, including transport, finance, and asset deployment. Additionally, he offers coaching services for senior executives in the biofuel, energy, and maritime sectors. Beyond with work with WuWei, he is a principal at OutPost Exploration, a project-development and recruiting firm, and is also a board member at Diomedes Maritime, a ship brokerage & project finance shop in London.
He has served as director at Evolution Markets (a leading environmental financial services firm) and as head of global talent at Chemoil Corp.; prior experience includes managing clean energy logistics at Noble Americas, and freight derivatives with MJLF & Associates, one of the country’s largest and most influential ship brokerage firms.
Mr. Mazzarulli grew up in the oil industry and enjoyed constant exposure to the commercial aspects of commodities and shipping markets over the course of his tenure with PVM Oil Associates. In addition to trading, and operations, he negotiated master trade agreements on behalf of Sempra Energy Trading and previously was Operations Manager at Crisis Consultants, a maritime-focused media relations & government affairs firm. He graduated from Connecticut College in 1991, and obtained a law degree from Pace University in 2001.
